Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre

The Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre is a landmark building in Zhengzhou and serves as the primary venue for large-scale exhibitions and events. It was designated as a historic building of Zhengzhou in 2021.

Venue Overview

  • Location: No. 1 Central Park, Business Inner Ring Road, Zhengdong New District CBD, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province.
  • Operator: Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center Co., Ltd. (a wholly state-owned enterprise).
  • Opening Date: The main structure was completed and began operations in 2005.
  • Architectural Significance: Designed by renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa, it serves as a cornerstone project of Zhengdong New District and one of the city’s landmarks. It was designated as a historic building of Zhengzhou in 2021.

  • Total Floor Area: Approximately 227,600 square meters
  • Indoor Exhibition Area: Approximately 74,000 square meters, capable of accommodating approximately 3,400 international standard booths.
  • Outdoor Exhibition Area: Approximately 38,000 square meters.
  • Conference Space: Approximately 60,800 square meters, comprising a multi-purpose hall with a capacity of approximately 5,000 people and multiple small and medium-sized meeting rooms.
  • Supporting Facilities: Approximately 45,000 square meters of outdoor parking (approximately 1,800 parking spaces), as well as comprehensive catering and business support services.

Design Features

Adopting a “conference center + exhibition center” combination, the complex is connected to Ruyi Lake via a central park, forming a comprehensive building that integrates exhibitions, conferences, business, dining, and sightseeing.

  • Conference Center: The roof features a unique “folded conical” steel cable-stayed structure with masts.
  • Exhibition Center: The floor plan is fan-shaped, with exhibition halls featuring wide spans. The second floor is a column-free space, facilitating large-scale exhibitions.

Directions

  • Subway: Take Subway Line 1 to “Convention and Exhibition Center Station.” Exit at Exit C and walk to the venue.
  • Bus: You can take Bus Routes 26, 919, 206, 7, and others to reach the venue.

From the Airport:

  • Subway: Take the Suburban Line, transfer to Line 2 to Zijing Mountain Station, then transfer to Line 1 to “Convention and Exhibition Center Station.”
  • By Taxi: The journey is approximately 26 kilometers and takes about 30–40 minutes.

From the Train Station:

  • Zhengzhou East Station: Take Metro Line 1 or Bus Route 162 directly to the venue.
  • Zhengzhou Station: Take Metro Line 1 or Bus Route 26 directly to the venue.
